Create Note

Notes can be created inside a Deck or from All Notes. Every note is automatically a revision note that enters the spaced repetition schedule as soon as it's saved, so you'll be prompted to review it at the right time without any extra setup.

Click the note creator below to try it out. Note that the co-writer is not available in this simulation.

Rich formatting

The editor automatically applies formatting as you type.

  • **bold** or __bold__
  • *italic* or _italic_
  • # Heading, ## Heading 2, ### Heading 3
  • - item or * item for bullet lists
  • 1. item for ordered lists

Co-writer

Type / at the start of a line or after a space to open the co-writer. Enter a prompt and the AI generates content inline at the cursor position.

The generated text is highlighted and a suggestion bar appears with three options:

  • Accept - keeps the generated text
  • Reject - removes the generated text
  • Regenerate - generates new content without closing the bar

Link notes

Type [[ anywhere in the editor to search for a note and insert a link. Links are clickable and always show the linked note's current title. You can also insert a pending link for a note that doesn't exist yet. See the Link Notes page for the full workflow.

Tips

  • Press Ctrl+S / Cmd+S or Ctrl+Enter / Cmd+Enter to save without reaching for the mouse.
  • Note content is required before saving. The title is optional.
  • / only triggers the co-writer at the start of a line or after a space. It passes through normally mid-word.
